Thurrock Womens Aid provides a safe haven for women and children fleeing domestic abuse. Our refuge accommodation is fully accessible for disabled women and children and our service is open to all women regardless of their age, ethnicity, sexual orientation or culture.

We have a large 15 bedroomed refuge with communal living areas such as lounge/diners, kitchens and a well equipped laundry room. We have a fully equipped playroom and an open access computer room.

We have a large garden with a variety of play equipment for the children living at the refuge to play on.

Trained support workers offer support and advice on a range of issues including, housing, welfare benefits and your legal rights. They help women to access community resources.

We also have dedicated children’s support workers who provide a range of activities for children living in the refuge and direct support.
