Thurrock Womens Aid offers a floating support service to women who are experiencing or who have suffered domestic abuse who are living in Thurrock. This service visits women in their own homes, or if this is not possible at a safe location.

Workers provide advice and support on housing, welfare benefits, legal rights and a wide variety of other issues.

We run a weekly drop in service from 5 Davall House, Argent Street, Grays on a Wednesday from 10.00am to 12.00pm. Telephone Number: 01375 488693, office hours only.

Each month on a rotating basis, a solicitor, a homelessness officer from Thurrock Council and the Domestic Violence Liaison Officer from Essex Police are on hand to answer queries and to offer advice.

We run a womens support group twice a year which last for around 15 weeks.

We are also able to provide support to children who are suffering from the impact of witnessing domestic abuse living in Thurrock.

We offer a range of activities, including therapeutic work using play and art therapy and group work.
