We are an independent charity and are full members of the Women’s Aid Federation of England. We are also member of Refuge Essex, which is a group of Essex wide refuges. We have been active in Thurrock for over 25 years and during that time many hundreds of women and children have made the refuge their home and safe haven from violence and abuse, this does not include the hundreds of women who have received support in their own homes from our floating support/outreach service.
